Cassandra S. Tomei

Cassandra Tomei has dedicated her life to photography and
the creation of visual images. Through years of training and
experience she has learned which images appeal to people and
how to produce them. With a professional attitude towards her
work, and an attentiveness to her clients needs, Cassandra has
produced images for companies and agencies throughout Arizona.
A graduate of New Mexico State University in 1987 with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, her emphasis
was always on photography. College work experiences included
the student newspaper, yearbook and other media related positions.
After college and a summer photographing throughout Europe Cassandra
moved to Phoenix.
Her initial work was doing portrait photography, both group and
individual, for schools. In 1988 she was hired by Studio Uno,
a commercial studio located in Tempe. Her duties included photo
sessions in studio and on location for commercial and photojournalistic
purposes. A wide variety of clients helped her to develop the
technical skills and abilities essential for creating images
of the highest quality.
With a desire to expand her photographic experiences Cassandra
went into business for herself and in 1990 formed Tomei Studios.
To gain valuable knowledge she began working as a free-lance
assistant for leading commercial photographers in the Phoenix
area. Working in a variety of studios and locations she has shared
in the techniques and methods of many different photographers.
From these many experiences she brings the best into her own
photographs.
